Germany is a beautiful country. My sister and her husband lived in Stuttgart for a few years, so we went to visit them. Traveling in a foreign country when your friends or family live there is great. You get to experience it like one of the locals. That being said, you cant pass up the tourist spots. In this picture we’re standing on a walking bridge a few hundred feet above a mountain waterfall, overlooking Neuschwanstein Castle. As you can see, the castle is straight out of a fairy tale. In fact, this castle was inspirational to Walt Disney in his design of Cinderella’s castle at Disney World. Its easy to see why.
A discussion of germany is not complete without a tribute to the beer. I’m sure you’ve heard how great German beer is. I had heard the same and didn’t think too much of it until I experienced it for myself. It is awesome. It tastes great and has a nice little benefit of not causing hangovers. We went to Volksfest, the local beer festival in Stuttgart. They serve the beer in humongous steins. Lets just say I drank plenty, and woke up the next day without a hangover!
