Surfing is something I always wanted to try and was finally able to recently.  This picture is from Corolla, North Carolina and as you can see the waves are the perfect size for a beginner.  I had heard surfing was hard to learn, and when you first start, it can be.  My first couple times out resulted in me laying in the sand exhausted from chasing waves.  Once you figure out the rhythm, its much easier.

I can see why all the surfer dudes in the movies are so laid back.  When you catch a wave and you feel it push you and your board, it really is an awesome feeling.  Very zen.  You feel like you’re one with the planet.

Jackie and I have set several goals for our online business.  Upon reaching one of our major milestones, we are planning an extended trip to Hawaii to celebrate.  The waves will be a step up from the little guys in this picture.

Next stop, Oahu’s north shore!!

  1. Small world. We travel to Duck every summer. And we always take a Jeep tour to see the horses. Nice, heh!

Having goals like that is really the way to go. One needs real motivation and goal setting to achieve their desired result. I always have a trip or something planned on the horizon. Goodluck getting to Hawaii…
