The story I share in my video below is a great parable to what I’m writing about today. You need to be committed to be successful.
One thing I want to point out is that I’m not saying to, ‘cut off your escape routes’ like the general did in my story. Don’t just quit your current job the day you decide to pursue an online business. Even with a burning desire to succeed, you don’t want to be stranded without an alternative route. If you quit your job to start an online business, you may go bankrupt before you succeed. Sure, you may be very motivated the entire time, but it may not be enough. I suggest starting the business part time, gain some experience and jump ships when your online business can pay your bills. But you need to start living this committed mindset from the moment you decide to pursue your business goals.
For me, having the desire and willingness to commit to my businesses brought me success. When I acquired this mindset things started to change. I approached my businesses like there was no turning back. I was truly committed. ‘Burning my ships’ turned desire into reality.
